Communal Cleaner

We have a Cleaner opportunity within our Estates and Services team based in Birmingham. In this role, you will work as part of a mobile cleaning team to deliver a good standard of cleanliness, security and safety to the communal parts of the organisation’s housing stock.

About you:

To be successful in the role of Cleaner, you will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Previous cleaning experience including mopping, sweeping, buffing, polishing, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning of glass, toilet and sanitary areas in line with a cleaning specification
  • Litter and small scale graffiti removal
  • Completion of paperwork relating to daily work
  • Teamwork
  • Basic Health and Safety knowledge in a cleaning environment including the use of equipment 
  • Be able to work to and meet varying deadlines
  • Be able to work in unpleasant conditions
  • Holding a driving license and willingness to drive a small company van is desirable but not essential

The necessary training will be provided including the safe use of chemicals. You will also have the opportunity to undertake the BICS qualification in Cleaning.
